Thanks to a wealth of experience, expertise and investment, Gebr. Heinemann has emerged over time as one of the most modern logisticians on the global travel retail market. Our Global Supply Chain organisation combines our advanced technology with the management of the Gebr. Heinemann product flow, which comprises Master Data, Forecasting & Planning, and the order process for suppliers and customers, to create a distinct competitive advantage.
Smooth flows of goods are of fundamental importance for us as a trading company. Gebr. Heinemann’s logistics centres are among the most modern on the global travel retail market - the flow of goods around the world is controlled by our two modern Logistics Centres in the Allermöhe district of Hamburg and Erlensee near Frankfurt. Even more impressive than the scale of the technology (which includes for example 40 metre high racks) is the day-to-day work of the Supply Chain departments made up of the perfectly orchestrated, simultaneous interplay of thousands of processes with the aim of determining the ideal route for every order.
The logistics processes at Gebr. Heinemann are controlled from Hamburg-Allermöhe. The facility is one of the most modern logistics centres in the world thanks to state-of-the-art IT, warehousing and handling technology. Through a highly complex series of interactions between persons, computers and machines, as many as one million sales units are picked, handled and shipped to our wholesale clients world-wide on a daily basis.
